To Catch You Up...

Life has been chaotic in the Chewning household for the past few weeks.   Here's a recap of the hullabaloo that has surrounded our lives the past few weeks...

3 weeks ago, we had the Chewning Quarantine.  We all got the nastiest bug that I think Chris & I have ever had.  It was horribly disgusting, and my weekend (when not spent in bed) was spent with a container of clorox wipes, bleach, and/or my laundry detergent.  Needless to say, I was toooo tired to blog, but that week I was sent a few pictures of Mallory from Grandma H and Ms. Kim.

Grandma bought her a walker for her house...and so Mal had to try it out!

Here's a few of Mallory and her pal Ziggy.  They play together every Thursday & Friday.  :-)

That weekend Mallory went to her first birthday party!  Denitra's twin's Colin & Caleb turned 1.   She of course had to get a little dressed up for the occasion...

Last weekend, I went to Heather's baby shower on Saturday.  Mallory's new BFF will be arriving any day now! :-)  That evening, Mallory spiked a fever of 102.  We spent Sunday fighting off another bug, and the rest of the week trying to keep her fever down.  It finally broke on Wednesday (after Chris took her to the doctor.)  Isn't that always how it works?  As soon as you finally break down and do something, you get the results you were looking for.  The doctor says it was probably a virus that we're all immune to, but she has to build up her immunity.  Mommy being surrounded by snotty kids all day, probably doesn't help...but hopefully we'll build up that immunity to yucky virus' quickly!  This week she has started to sit up while she is in her bed, and I found her on multiple occasions sitting up talking...

So bedtime is getting a little more difficult because she is learning so many new things.  Among them, she is starting to pull herself up.  She LOVES to stand on the couch and look out of the bay window.  Today, I let her sit in the bay window in our living room.  After she kissed the window, she had a good time playing and watching everything going on outside. 

Currently, Daddy Chew and Mallory are both taking naps.  Dinner is in the crockpot, and Mama Chew is thinking about making some dessert to go with it.  It's been a busy couple of weeks...I'll try not to go 3 weeks without posting again! :-)

P.S.  I think her Minnie Mouse shirt is too cute! :-)  It has a polka dot skirt that goes with it, but it was too cold today.  Gotta love Target deals!
