Finding Myself Behind the Lens

I realized the other day that a mom can't stop doing what she loves or she loses herself somewhere.  Not that becoming Mallory's mommy isn't the only job I want to have for the rest of my life, but I still need to be Monica sometimes too.  Part of being Monica used to be my camera.  But lately, my camera has become so much a part of my job that I lost the urge to shoot for fun.  I want to play with my camera again, and see something or someone come alive from behind a lens.  So I decided that in order to start finding Monica again, I need to play with my camera a little more.  So here's my blog--a photo a day (or two or three) and a story to go with it to capture my life.

So for today's moment...tummy time!  Mallory of course lifts her head during tummy time, but as my mom tells me, she's an overachiever like her mom, and so yes, at 1 month old she is trying to roll over.  Here she is at tummy time relaxing and lifting her bottom half in preparation to try and roll over.
