If You Really Knew Me...

So in December, we showed our kids a video from MTV's "If You Really Knew Me" series.  It was a connection to Rachel's Challenge, which we have been doing for two years.  Well, if you haven't ever seen the show, it's about breaking down stereotypes and getting to know people for who they really are.  And so...here's an if you really knew me moment...


If you really knew me...you'd know that I'm a huge nerd.

Okay, so some of you already know that...but that's because you know me.  And you know that I love The Big Bang Theory...and I think going to the Spelling Bee is cool...and when I get a lot of questions right while watching Jeopardy I get excited...and when a kid says something totally nerdy in my class, a part of me screams out "YES!" in a weird nerdy voice...and that I would rather watch the History Channel or any other informational show than a movie or regular TV. Yup, NERD.  It used to bother me in high school when people would make fun of me because I was smart.  I didn't want to be smart all of the time...I hated be the one kids went to for answers--because I felt like they only liked me for how I could help them with their work.  

So there's my if you really knew me tid-bit of information.  It's not juicy and revealing (believe me I have a few of those tucked away)...but it's me, and it gives me a chance to show off my snuggie that Chris got me for Christmas! :-)
