Happy Valentine's Day!!
I had a fun time this year finding and making presents for Chris, Mallory & Addie. Pinterest gave me a ton of ideas, and I used a few and then came up with a few on my own. I made homemade valentine's this year. I wanted to use some photos of Mallory for my cards. I got the original idea from a card I saw on Pinterest. I thought it would be totally funny if I photographed or photoshopped a mustache on Mallory.
After a quick trip to Old Navy one day, I came home with a $2.00 package of sticky mustaches. I was only able to get a few good shots of Mallory, but I personally think they are hilarious. After I took the photo, I created the "front" of my card using Picnik (I totally plan on using it until April 19th!) Then, I sent my photos off to Walgreens. Next, I glued the photo on cardstock and hand wrote the inside. Here's Chris' mustache Valentine!
After Chris' card, I kind of fell in love with the idea of making all of my Valentine's this year. So I made a few more for the loves of Mallory's life....
After my cards, I focused on presents. I made a bought a few and made a few of these...
Mallory had a very Mickey Valentine's Day! She's so in love with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse it's kind of ridiculous. She lights up as soon as she hears his voice. She is definitely going to be my Disney girl! She also got some V-Day apparel. Since she's into finger food lately, I decided to make my own teething biscuits. I used the teething biscuit recipe from Wholesome Baby Food. I kind of rely on this website to make most of my baby food and give me advice on what she should/should not be eating right now.
Chris wanted a video game, so he could play online with Kenny. So my big kid, got his present plus a sweet suprise from me. I saw these on Pinterest, and knew I could make them! I used my family recipe for Peanut Blossoms that I make every Christmas, but instead of hershey kisses, I placed Dove Milk Chocolates in the center. Yum-o!
We saw Addie this evening, so she got her "Boy" (because that's what she calls Larry Boy!), a "Bob" DVD, and a onesie her auntie couldn't leave hanging in the store.
Now it's time to relax for a little while with the best husband a girl could ask for! And then...I'll start planning Easter, which will start with Mallory's live bunny and duckling shoot in a few weeks at a local photography studio. Stay tuned for how that goes! :)
