This past weekend, we went to Shlagel Farm to find the PERFECT PUMPKIN
(and have a lot of fun while doing it!).
After paying the admission fee (and seeing a former student), we headed
over to the petting zoo. Mallory loves
animals--and chickens (chickies) are some of her favorites. We also saw a few goats, some cows, rabbits,
and a miniature horse.
Then, we went on a tractor ride to the pumpkin
patch. Farmer Russ taught us all about
farming on the way out to the patch. We
arrived and there were tons of "pumpees" as Mallory has been calling
them. And so we searched...
And we searched...
And we searched...
And we searched...
And we searched...
Until finally....She found it! It was love at first sight. She had to pick it up and take it home!
We couldn't leave the patch without this pumpkin. I mean she did lift it down!
We took the hayride back...
And went to the straw bale maze
Visited the animals again...
Went on the swings...
Took a few photos...
Met a baby chick..
And then played in the cornbox.
Mallory fell asleep almost 2 minutes into the ride
home.
Another GREAT day!
