A Week For the Record Books

To say that this week was one for the record books would probably be an understatement.  Everything about my world has been changing.  Not only did I experience my first earthquake, but Hurricane Irene struck, and I had to go back to work.

It's been a week of adjustments for me.  It's funny to think how quickly your life changes after you become a mom.  You spend months preparing for your little bundle of joy, but when they arrive you feel no where near prepared, and once you start to get the hang of things, you have all new challenges--like going back to work.  I am truly thankful that Mallory will be spending her time away from home with people who I trust, and who most importantly love her.  It's a relief to know that she will be in homes where she will get all the attention that she needs.  Because of that, this week has been so much easier for me.  This is not to say that I haven't picked her up and snuggled immediately when coming in the door each day, but those moments are so much sweeter now.  So here's my picture....I took it Friday before Mallory went over her Grandma's house because Chris and I were helping some friends move.  We had just played for like an hour and a half, and I think I wore her out.  :-)
