Happy Easter!

Yesterday was Easter Sunday.  I have to say, it was much different than any Easter in recent memory. For one, the Easter bunny visited...

Mallory woke up around 6am, so we went downstairs so that daddy could sleep a little.  She helped me make breakfast, which included eggs for her (yolks only!).  I'm not sure how much she liked them, but I figure we'll eat them for a few days and make sure she's not allergic and move on.  Who knows, maybe in a few weeks she'll like them again, as she has shown me with both bananas and carrots.

Before breakfast, Daddy opened his Easter presents.

Yes friends, bacon flavored popcorn.  I couldn't resist.  It was totaaly worth the laugh.

After breakfast, it was Mallory's turn to open her basket...

After she opened her basket, Mallory took her morning nap.  I actually had time to put on eye make-up for church.  (Pretty excited about that accomplishment!)  Chris' mom, and my parents came to church with us.  We took a few photos before we left for church...

After church, we came home, ate lunch, took a nap, and got ready to go to Gma's and Papi's.  We had dinner with Papi, Gma, Uncle Aaron, Addie & Carol.  Mallory got another Easter basket...

After dinner, the girls had an Easter egg hunt...well Addie did most of the hunting.  She brought a few eggs to Mallory, and Mallory just played with them until she realized she could crawl all over the front yard!

Papi tried to fix the broken door...and locked us out of the house...

Luckily, we were able to get back inside...

The girl's then decided to play in the sandbox out back before we went home for the evening.

All in all, it was a busy day...and although it was filled with rabbits and candy, it is important to us that Mallory knows the true reason for celebrating Easter.  That she understands Christ's sacrifice and his love for her.  And we'll be celebrating that every day!
