Spring Break Part 2

The past few days have flown by....I was so not ready to go back to work (because I want to be able to stay home all the time, and I haven't done the grading that I needed to get done!) I know the grading will get done eventually, but I really wanted to be ahead coming back...but I'm not going to say that my time wasn't much better spent!  So here's the recap from the rest of Spring Break....

Thursday & Friday Mallory and I spent most of our day together.  Chris was with his mom on Thursday after she fell at the doctors office and then had to work all day Friday to make up for the missed time (and to cover a few jobs that needed to be seen before Monday.)  On Thursday and Friday, we played a little outside, built a fort out of blankets and the furniture, and ran a few errands...

I took a few photos of one of the trees in our front yard.  I absolutely love our trees in the spring.  It's the fall when I don't like having them in the yard.

Kenny & Heather had their baby girl Natalie Grace on Friday!  I showed Mallory her picture on my phone, and she pointed to Natalie, said "ooooh"  and put her head on my shoulder.  I think she knows they're going to be buddies! :-)

On Saturday, we played some more...but after the fort, Mallory realized that she could climb under the table to find things...
(Which reminds me...need to find new fabric for the dining room chairs.  I love that we have friends that gave us a larger dining room set, but I need to make it my own, and fabric is the cheapest and easiest way to do that!  Plus, it's an excuse to use mom's staple gun!)

We also found a music video of 12 Disney Junior songs OnDemand that Mallory was captivated by.  She sat and danced around for almost 20 minutes.

Sunday was Easter!  You can read about that on my separate blog post here.  But, it was a fun family filled day!

And then there's...Monday.  Ugh.  My last day as a stay-at-home mom until June...we sang, dance, played, and I got in lots of snuggle time.

I did absolutely NO grading that I should have done, and so I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at work (what else is new?).  One of these days I'll figure out the balance.  But until then, I guess I just need to work on prioritizing.
