Project ABC

So if ya'll know me, you know that I am going to need to keep myself busy soon.  There is so much going on in my world, and I focus best sometimes by keeping myself super busy.  Soo... I've made myself a list of projects to tackle over the next few weeks/months/year...and I'm hoping to check them all off, add a few more, and get a lot accomplished. So here's what I've done in the past two days:

• I cleaned out my fridge and pantry (which needed it!)
• I cleaned my closet and drawers and made a stack to go to the Salvation Army.
• I've tackled Mt. Laundry again (this seems to never end)
• I put some new pictures of Mallory around the house...because the digital frame is just not enough Mallory to go around!
• I bought myself a new dress (it's from Target, but I so needed to do this for me!  Plus, it'll look great with the sandals mom bought me when we were in North Carolina!)

• And I've made some fun magnets for Mallory....

Mallory kind of loves magnets lately, and she likes to hang out with me while I'm in the kitchen.  The regular ABC magnets are a bit too small for her, and I'm always afraid she'll choke on them.  So, while perusing the aisles of Target, I realized---I can so make her magnets!  I still had leftover magnets from a Christmas project a few years ago, and I of course have my trusty glue gun.  All I needed were some BIG ABC's...and I found them...in the baby bath aisle. 

I pulled out the numbers one through five, and letters to spell out Mallory and a few other words.   Then, I started gluing...

I think I did a pretty awesome job, and if the bite marks on them are any proof of that, I think Mallory agrees.  She's been playing with them all morning while I made baby food and a few other things to prepare for the week. 

In other news...my friend Michelle got married last week.  The wedding was beautiful.  I was so glad that I was able to share that day and important moment in her life with her.  Here is a picture of her getting ready...as I was again, a slacker who didn't take out her phone or camera enough...
