Strawberries!

STRAWBERRIES!

Today, we went to Shlagel Farms to pick strawberries.  Both Addie and Mallory have been obsessed with them lately, so mom and I thought it would be fun to go pick some.  I haven't been strawberry picking in years--probably since I was a kid at my Grandma & Grandpa Derencin's farm.  The girls (for the most part) had a blast.   Addie ran up and down the rows...

P.S.  Guess who bought her that shirt?  Yup, her Auntie! :-)

Mallory preferred to sit and stick her fingers in them.  By the time we had our box filled, Mallory had stuck her finger in probably 100 berries, and was covered head to toe in strawberry juice....hence the loss of her socks halfway through the day.  (And a change of clothing soon after since she sat on one!) 

Both girls eventually got the hang of it, and started putting berries in to the box...well Addie did.  Mallory instead proceeded to pick them up out of the box and poke her finger through them.  I'm sure when Papi goes through them this evening he'll find a few of Mallory's strawberries.

We also attempted to get their picture together a few times.  They don't really cooperate with pictures together yet.  Maybe one day they'll figure it out...but until then, I certainly get some funny shots.  :-)
